Steve DeFoe has always been surrounded by art. Growing up in a family of artists, his creativity sparked at a young age. As he grew older, he began creating murals for nightclubs and bars.
Word of mouth spread quickly, and projects soon began popping up.
Most recently, DeFoe was hired to create a mural that captures the aura of the Lakefront, a destination district of retail, restaurants, and recreation in Little Elm.
The Town of Little Elm gave him a plan, and he took it and ran with it. Having been a Little Elm resident for seven years, he was inspired by the fun, community feel. The mural includes representations of that, with plenty of physical activities such as fishing, wakeboarding, running, and playing volleyball. The band represents high energy and sense of youth. Rainbow colors represent mental health, freedom, and equal rights. Read more.
