It's been a tradition at Little Elm High School to celebrate the hard work graduating seniors have put toward advancing their education. As fellow students, family, campus and district administrators, school board members, and community partners looked on, these students were honored for their outstanding academic achievement.
"These young men and women have continued a standard set by those who came before them and have proven they are ready to join the ranks of students currently attending college," said Keisha Brown, K-12 coordinator for College Readiness. "As a class, they have reported acceptances to 85 different colleges to include MIT, Caltech, Duke University, Harvard College, Stanford University, The University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University, The Ohio State University, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, and many more."
Brown said of the students who reported to her, they were offered more than 100 scholarships worth $5.3 million dollars as a collective group. That's an increase over last year by over $1 million in reported scholarships.
