The Little Elm ISD Education Foundation recently voted Denise Hanti as its new board president.
The Little Elm ISD Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2016 and it coordinates with the District to provide innovative grants to teachers that impact student learning in the classrooms. The foundation also provides scholarships to students.
Education foundations are formed to support local schools by raising private dollars to invest in innovative programs not funded through public dollars. “We do a great job carefully budgeting for the day-to-day operations and provide essentials our teachers need to teach our students,” said Daniel Gallagher, superintendent for Little Elm ISD. “I am excited to have Denise leading the foundation because I believe she will ensure our innovative teachers continue to have opportunities to expand on the meaningful learning possibilities for our students."
Hanti has served as vice president of programs and has been a board member since the beginning in 2016. She also has two children who attend Prestwick STEM Academy at Little Elm ISD.
